Warlies Park House
Little is known of Warlies prior to 1519 except that it belonged to the Abbots of Waltham before the Dissolution.
Warlies has been passed through family blood lines for centuries until it was sold in 1787 for £11,500.
The building and its lands expanded with following owners until 1851 it was purchased by Buxton Family. The owner Sir Edward North Buxton was the son of Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, a great man who played a major part in the abolition of the slave trade. You can see him on the back of the £5 note.
Today, Warlies Park House is set in 10 acres of grounds, fabulous offices and facilites... and our head office. This house has a tremendous story...
